Important Use Information

Rotor truing should be performed gradually using small adjustments. Identify the affected section of the rotor, move that area outside the brake caliper, and apply only enough pressure to make a minor correction. Recheck the rotor frequently to avoid bending it too far in the opposite direction.

Keep grease, oil, and other contaminants away from the rotor and brake pads. A rotor that is cracked, deeply scored, below its minimum permitted thickness, severely bent, or damaged around its mounting points should be replaced rather than straightened.
